The inspiration for this blog came from my first trip to New York in 2008.

Walking down 5th Avenue during the Christmas crowds, I had walked past the third window when I looked up and saw the most spectacular window displays.

It was here I slipped into Bergdorf Goodman’s fairytale of jeweled oceans, magical forests & a world of daydreaming, in their depiction of ‘the seasons’.

From then on I decided to capture the seasonal changes in shop displays and share them with everyone that loves shops as much as I do.

So far:

The blog has mainly featured shop windows and displays during the Christmas Season. Christmas in any big city is marked by elaborate window displays in the most famous and popular stores. The amount of creativity and vision that goes into creating these never ceases to amaze me.

What’s next:

The blog has evolved into a up to date guide about the amazing shops in our big cities. Having pounded the pavements I have discovered a lot of hidden gems, so I am now generating City Guides to share all the shopping districts and the greatest finds in each city.

I would love to hear your recommendations for shops to visit especially the ones off the beaten track. Please tweet me with you suggestions: @Eva_tweet_tweet

My pictures:

My pictures are taken on a Nikon D5000 SLR which travels with me everywhere .

I use a combination of styles in the blog from full shots & cropping photos to create a mood boards for each shop about the themes, displays, and colours used.
